—FAQ—

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY WEDDING DATE FOR MAKEUP AND HAIR SERVICES?

I recommend that you book wedding beauty services between six to twelve months to ensure that your date is avialable. If you’re in need of services in a shorter time frame, we will do our best to accommodate you.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK FOR MY MAKEUP AND HAIR TRIAL?

Trial runs should be booked at least 4-6 weeks in advance. We recommend booking your trial on the same day as your engagement photo shoot or any occasion.

Can I book now and set a trial date later?

Absolutely, about 95% of my brides prefer to do it this way! Given I do book over a year out , most brides do opt to secure their hair and makeup services with a signed contract and deposit for their big day and choose a trial for a later time.

WHAT IS YOUR MAKEUP style?

Many of my clients initially contact me because they describe my past brides’ makeup as natural and that is how they want to look. To me, natural makeup is when the skin is evened out and have a youthful glow. My favorite makeup approach is an overall natural look with some special accents, such as a pop of color on the lips or defined eyes.

WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?

Once the date of service, time frame, and price are confirmed, I require a signed contract and non-refundable retainer. Once I receive the contract and retainer, your wedding date is officially booked.

HOW DO I PAY?

I will send you a proposal that will include an invoice. The retainer and remaining balance can be paid through the invoice. Cash or check is also accepted.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN A TRIAL RUN?

We will spend 3.5 hours trying different hair and makeup styles. During the allotted time, we will discuss your everyday style, the theme of the wedding, your expectations for hair and makeup, and your wedding day timeline. We also review any inspirational photos that you have brought. Please bring your veil and headpiece if you have purchased it. If you didn’t buy your accessories by the trial, I will have items that you can purchase.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY HAIR AND SKIN FOR THE TRIAL?

Your hair should be clean and completely dry (washed the night before) in order to have the hair set properly. you should moisturize your skin prior to the Trial Run; this will enable the makeup to go on smoother and last longer. Please do not wax your brows or receive a facial closer than 5 days prior to the appointment.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY WEDDING DAY HAIR AND MAKEUP?

I will send an email with hair and skin prep guidelines. The email will contain a timeline and checklist to keep you on track.

DO YOU OFFER IN-HOME SERVICES FOR MY WEDDING DAY MAKEUP AND HAIR?

Yes I do! I go to you for the trial and wedding day hair and makeup. I go to you with my own products, tools, lighting, and chair. It’s more relaxing when you get ready in the comfort of your own home or hotel room.

Do you provide services for larger bridal parties?

Yes, I am so fortunate to work alongside very talented artists to accommodate bigger bridal parties. My team is curated by me based on their professionalism, artistry and (most importantly) genuine nature.

CAN MY BRIDESMAID AND/OR MOTHER HAVE A TRIAL?

We don’t believe this is necessary unless they have any concerns about hair and makeup in which case then yes of course they can have a trial.  All we ask is that this is scheduled for the same day as the bride’s trial as it is more cost effective for the stylist. It is $100 for hair OR makeup and $200 for both.

CAN YOU STAY FOR THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

We offer this service! We are happy to stay for the ceremony and reception if you want to be touched up throughout the wedding or completely change your look. Price will depend on the number of extra hours required of us to stay.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I COULDN’T BLOW DRY MY HAIR?

A $20 additional blow out fee will be applied to anyone who arrives with wet hair. This will affect the timeline also, due to extra time blowing out the hair.

I don't think I can do a trial before my wedding, what should I do?

If you have time, travel or financial constraints, we can schedule a phone call or FaceTime call to go through all the details.

I've signed my contract but need to make changes!

Changes happen, I totally understand, however once the contract is signed I then plan my day and other bookings around you and the information you've provided in the contract. While I will do my best to accommodate changes in start time, location or additional people, I cannot guarantee that it will be possible. This is particularly true for out of town weddings and/or a second artist is involved. If changes are made, I will send an updated contract to be signed and/or additional fees will be added to the remaining balance.

Should I check in closer to the wedding day?

You don’t have to because I will be sending you a series of emails as your wedding day approaches. I will prepare a wedding day schedule for you and send it out a couple of weeks in advance. This helps your bridal party know when each of them is needed and it aids any other artist or event planner you are bringing in on the day. I will also send hair and makeup prep guidelines and tips for a successful wedding day beauty session.
